I love this cake mascara. I have only used it twice so far. At first it was a little awkward to put on since I am used to the store bought brand mascaras, but it got a little easier the second time I used it. One tiny little gripe I have is that the applicator brush is so small so it is a little bit hard to hold on to. That might get easier though, with more use. I love how the mascara looks on my lashes. Much thicker than what I am used to.
I had practically given up on finding mascara that my eyes could tolerate. No Tox Life dI’d the trick.
I am loving this zero waste vegan cake mascara! I use it both as mascara and eyeliner. I’ve just been using a tiny paint brush for my eyeliner and let me tell you, I’ve fallen in love with “painting” my makeup on. it lasts well during the day and doesn’t transfer onto my eyelid like traditional eyeliners. I gave it a shot on my brows but the black is too dark for my hair. I’d love this in a lighter brown for my brows!
The mascara is packaged beautifully, but includes plastic (the little brush that comes with the set is plastic, and is in a plastic bag.) Additionally, the little brush is such awful quality compared to the rest of the presentation. It is nearly impossible to tell what part of the brush has mascara on it, and be careful not to get your eyelid! It hurts! I applied it and it seemed to work, but nothing special and I've gotten better looks and better wear from other ZW mascaras. This began depositing darkness under my eyes after about an hour. I will use it again and apply with an old mascara brush that has white bristles. I used as eyeliner as well and it was fine- which is probably how I'll finish off the tin. With all the hype I expected more and was sorely disappointed.
