Shipping Times


Holiday Season update: Through Dec 23rd, 2017, we are shipping every 1-2 days and upgrading all First Class mail shipments to Priority Mail at no extra charge.

Please place your orders by Monday, Dec 18th, for the best chance to get it in time for Christmas. We don't guarantee delivery times but that will account for shipping speed to all parts of the country. The Greater Los Angeles area will generally receive packages in one business day after shipment. Other parts of the country will generally receive it in 2-3 business days. We can't guarantee the post office's estimated times, so please order early to account for any shipping delays from the post office.

If your order is needed rush, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate. Our retail store is also open every week if you are in the Los Angeles area and can't wait for your item to be shipped.

Custom orders will be shipped as soon as they are ready. In that case, you will be alerted with an estimate of the shipping date, and again when it's ready to go out.

 

Returns Policy

Due to the nature of our products, we do not allow refunds, returns or exchanges. All sales are final. 

Each No Tox Life product is carefully hand-made by us in Glassell Park, Los Angeles. If you have feedback to help us evolve and improve our products, we welcome it. Please contact us so we can hear from you. 

 

Allergies, Sensitivities, Scent Preferences


Make sure you visit us in person or give us a call before ordering if you are concerned about pre-existing allergies you may have to ingredients, scent compatibility, or consistency and texture of products. For those with extremely sensitive skin, avoid any products with essential oils or fragrance - even natural scents can be irritating if you have allergies and sensitivities. 

We recommend doing a patch test with any new personal care product - apply to a small, inconspicuous area of skin, leave it on for 24 hours (or rinse off if it's a soap product) - then check to see how your skin tolerates it. There are many factors that can influence if a product is compatible for your skin, so we can't guarantee all products will work for all people.

The scents you like or dislike will be extremely personal. Everyone has different taste and a different "nose". We cannot guarantee you will love the scent you chose - we try to make our product descriptions as accurate as possible to convey the true scent. If in doubt, please visit us at our retail store before purchasing, or take a look at the product reviews to decide which scents you'll enjoy.

 

Cancellation Policy


Our products are made to order and are therefore custom products. We order supplies for your products quickly to make sure your order is created and shipped rapidly. Once your order has been "Checked Out" it can NOT be cancelled. 

 

Workshops & Classes


No refunds. Because we prepare and buy materials for our workshops ahead of time we cannot offer any refunds if you have to cancel. If you can not make a workshop you signed up for, you can always gift your spot to a friend.

 

Delivery and Mail Theft


Please note any special delivery instructions if needed for your order, such as a gate code or place to leave the package. We will write this on the box for USPS, but we cannot guarantee that USPS will follow the instructions.

For the security of your order, make sure you or someone else is home to receive the package, or deliver to your workplace. You are responsible for your package after it is marked delivered. If your package is stolen, or is marked "delivered" but never arrived, you may be able to file a claim with the postal service; there is usually a 20-day delay before you can file. We are not responsible for stolen packages (where the package was delivered to your location by the post office or UPS and then stolen after delivery).

Your order may ship "signature required", so please be home to receive the delivery or have it delivered to your workplace or post office box.

Please note - in some neighborhoods mail theft is a very real problem. In the age of Amazon where more and more customers are ordering online, there are people who follow mail trucks and steal packages, sometimes repeatedly at the same house. Download the NextDoor app to find out if your area is prone to mail theft. Even if you have package insurance, packages stolen after delivery are not covered. We always advise delivering packages where someone is available to receive them.


Packaging


We use recycled packaging materials whenever possible. Check all the packing material before you throw it away! Extra paper may be hiding some of your No Tox Life goodies!

If you see packing peanuts in your order, some of them may be biodegradable, some of them are not (the biodegradable ones are an off-white color and smell funny!). We recycle packaging from our suppliers (many of whom still use packing peanuts). To go zero-waste, re-use the peanuts the next time you ship a box!



Customs Fees and Taxes


International orders are shipped by First Class or Priority Mail International, depending on your order size. You are responsible for any customs fees or taxes upon receipt of the order. Please check with your local customs office regarding any fees that may be due.

DutyCalculator.com has useful information for calculating estimated taxes and fees. As an example of importing fees, if you imported 5 sticks of deodorant (totaling $100USD) from the United States to the UK, and paid $21USD in shipping, the estimated VAT due would be £20, and you would have to pay this to your local customs office or postal office before receiving the items.



Free Shipping, Coupon Codes and Discounts


We occasionally offer limited-time coupons for our email subscribers, including free shipping. These coupons do expire, so if you have used a free shipping coupon in the past, and it no longer works, it is expired.

Coupon codes for free shipping are not valid for international orders. If you want to save money on international shipping, join forces with a friend or neighbor to put a larger order together and save shipping costs.

We are currently offering free US shipping on retail orders $75+. The qualifying free shipping amount is BEFORE taxes or fees. You must have at least $75 of product in your cart to qualify for that standard free shipping. If you choose an expedited shipping method at checkout (for example, your order would ship First Class but you choose Priority Mail instead), the free shipping will no longer apply. Choose "Free Shipping" once you have $75 of product in your cart to qualify.

Discounts may not be combined with other discounts. For example, a coupon for 10% off is not combinable with bundle discounts for buying several soaps, or buying several lip balms. You can choose one discount or the other, whichever is greater. 

We are currently offering 25% off No Tox Life branded products when you bring back your plastic No Tox Life container in-store to up-cycle. This offer is not valid at any farmers markets, craft fairs or pop-up events. It is only valid at our retail store in Glassell Park, and only valid on No Tox Life branded products, not products by other makers. Read more about it here.

We reserve the right to cancel coupons, discounts, special offers, including free shipping offers, at any time.

Join our loyalty program to get "Bunnies" points towards free products with each purchase, and each time you write a review or refer a friend. Make sure you add the item to your cart, or the free product won't appear in your final order.


Rain Checks on Sales and Discounts


We do not offer rain checks on any sales or discounts, sorry. Sales may occur online only, at our retail store only, or at certain farmers markets or craft fairs only - we will specify with any sale which location(s) the sale is valid at, and those restrictions are not flexible.



Pricing Changes



We occasionally have to update our retail prices to reflect materials cost increases, or labor and overhead increases. Each product is carefully made by hand in our Glassell Park, Los Angeles studio. Sometimes the initial debut price for a product is an introductory price and we have to raise the price later to reflect actual costs.

We are constantly working on ways to increase efficiency and create products in larger batches to keep prices fair.

We try to keep prices consistent across web, retail store and markets, but there may be slight differences. The best prices are generally available at our own retail store and online.
