A Vegan Valentine's Day

A Vegan Valentine's Day

Whether you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day with your significant other or your best single friends, we want everyone to take the time to enjoy themselves. Here are some ideas for the upcoming holiday.

Treat yourself (or that someone special) to all things rose inspired. Volcanic Mineral Detoxifying Bath Soak by Pure + Native is filled with magnesium, an essential mineral that promotes muscle relaxing. We mixed in detoxifying rose clay and uplifting Valencia orange essential oil for a luxurious experience.  Or complement your champagne toast with our vegan Rose Champagne Body Bar or our Rose Champagne 100% Soy Wax Candle

Thinking a coffee date? ☕️ Grab a coffee from Little Ripper Coffee, right in Glassell Park. The Australian-owned cafe serves delicious and simple toasts and even makes their own lavender almond milk for their iced lattes. Or consider sharing a vegan baked good, made with love, from Just What I Kneaded. We are drooling already.

Flowers are not just for Valentine’s Day but it sure doesn’t hurt. Lenita by Grita is hard to miss around the city of LA, with his adorable pink flower truck. You can always follow his Instagram for locations but he will be set up in ROW DTLA (right next to our weekly market, Smorgsburg LA) in the days leading up to Valentine’s. Or stop by our retail space for a selection of houseplants and succulents for some greenery.

Break a little more of a sweat 😉 by hitting up Griffith Park for a hike or renting a bicycle at Spoke Bicycle Cafe to take advantage of the bike paths available in Glassell Park and along the LA river. They have vegetarian and vegan-friendly bites, as well as espresso to fuel your ride. Or reward yourself afterward at Eagle Rock Brewery and watch them brew all of their vegan beers while drinking one yourself.

Perhaps a vegan-friendly place for dinner? Little Pine in Silverlake is one of our favorites when it comes to an all vegan and organic menu. We dream about the wild mushroom bruschetta and macaroni and cheese. Plus all of their proceeds go to animal welfare organizations! We would suggest making a reservation though, to make sure to save your spot.

Regardless of how you choose to spend your day, we hope you express your love for those special to you, as well as yourself!
