Korean Skincare Routine
Have you heard about the Korean Skincare routine? It is growing in popularity here in the US and we understand why. There are quite a few steps involved, as many as 14 steps for some! But we understand there isn't always time so we have condensed it down to 5 steps.
Step One:
Makeup removal! Begin with a Facial Cleansing Oil to break down makeup and grime. Massage your face with a dime-sized amount of oil. Oils help remove eye makeup, even the tough, waterproof kind. Make sure to be gentle when touching your face. If any eye makeup is still hanging around, a little bit of cleansing oil on a cotton swab will do the trick.
Step Two:
Cleanse! Use your daily facial cleansing bar to wash away any dirt leftover from the day. For more of a daily detox, our Activated Charcoal Facial Bar is the way to go. Mango Butter doesn't leave your skin dry and stretched out. For gentle exfoliating action, our Bamboo and Pumice Bar is another favorite.
Step Three:
Exfoliate! We love using a Konjac Sponge for super gentle exfoliating. Konjac Sponges are created in Japan and made with the roots of the konyakku plant (a vegetable also used in food products). This sponge is so gentle, it's commonly used in Asian countries to cleanse babies. It almost feels like you're cleaning your face with ramen noodles!
Step Four:
Tone! Take a cotton swab with your favorite toner (We like using an Apple Cider Vinegar and water mixture!) and refresh your skin. This helps remove any pollutants or residue leftover from your cleanser, while restoring your skin's natural pH balance.
