I would recommend this bar to anyone, especially when used with the facial sponge. I feel as though I am completely cleaning my skin, but in the gentlest way possible. My only concern is that, now that I have found this, it will someday be unavailable. I think that’s why I took the time to write a review-the more popular this item is, the longer it will be around!

Love this natural face soap

This charcoal face bar is by far the best face wash I have ever used on my skin. Immediately after using it my skin feels clear and smooth and any little blemishes or bumps are gone. I also use this under my arm pits and around my chest where I am more prone to breakouts. It's an excellent formula and the bar lasts quite a long time. I am in love with the fact that it is mostly zero waste as well with the exception of the cardboard box (which is compostable). I plan on gifting this to my friends for Christmas. Please never stop making this product!

I'm pretty committed to my skincare routine and brand, but was curious to try this product. It definitely gives that "squeaky clean" feeling but did not dry out my face. With the research I've seen so far, it seems that there hasn't been much legit empirical study about the benefits of charcoal for skincare (despite its medical use for detoxing in hospitals). However, it seems it is safe and could in theory provide detoxifying benefits. Anyhow, so all this made me curious :) It is a nice bar and I use it to shake up my usual routine.

I’ve been using the facial bar for 2 months now. I have the worlds most sensitive skin and this cleansing bar is FANTASTIC!! I love it! Would highly recommend. I also have a good amount left which should last me a few more months - making it cost effective!

Using it with the sponge is the best for gently removing makeup and deep cleaning.

Amazing little bars of soap. I have very oily skin, and this soap has really assisted with reduction in acne.

This is one of the gentlest cleansers I've ever used! But don't let the gentleness fool you, it's also an effective cleanser! I use the bar twice a day and it lasts 6-7 months - a little bit goes a LONG way.

The facial cleanser was super nice and works wonders, definitely recommend, works better with a moisturizer.

Was looking for something gentle on combination skin. Doesn’t dry out my face, has lots of slip so I’ve been subbing for my body shave soap as well till I can get a refill. Would recommend.

It’s great how you can purchase this face wash bar and have it last a year! I know it works because I was using too much at first and my skin was getting dry — so it’s definitely getting rid of oil/dirt. Now I’ve found the perfect amount on the konjac sponge. A great option for people who would like to create less waste 🧡

I was a little scared to use a bar of soap on my face but wow this stuff really makes your skin feel clean, and doesn't leave a residue at all. Very happy with it. :)

Very good, long lasting, simple and wonderful. I have acne prone skin and this bar has really helped with breakouts.

I was so excited to try this product out and within 3 days I could not move my face due to how dry it was. My face is now really irritated and uncomfortable. I wish you guys had more options when it came to different types of face wash.

My face is a combination of dry and oily. My nose has been peeling for months, with no indication as to why. I was using a more aggressive physical/chemical exfoliator for years but couldn't get my skin to stay consistently smooth without causing areas to get raw. I use this cleanser with the luna sponge. It took a few weeks for my skin to get used to this new regimen, but it's so great now. I no longer peel, and my face doesn't get greasy at the end of the day. I just got the serum from no-tox and I love it!

Oh wow, I am amazed by this soap. I've had a milia under my eye for about a year, and it got larger in recent months. I figured I was going to have to get it removed by a dermatologist. I had no expectation that this soap would cure the milia. After one month of using No Tox Life's charcoal soap daily, I noticed that the milia seemed dry and flattened. I was easily able to scrape it off with my fingernail. YAYYYY! I've used a lot of products in the past year and this is the only one that clearly made a difference in the milia. (I've also been using a BHA toner every other day for the past 3 months so that may have helped. Using it that close to my eye made my eye water, though, so I would recommend trying the soap by itself first.)

I've tried this product for a few weeks, and I found that I ultimately wasn't a fan of it. I don't think it worked for my skin type (mostly oily but can get oily/combination)...
I've used it several ways to see if it would work. First, I lathered the bar in my hands and used the product that rubbed off onto my face. When I did that, though, I noticed that my face became extremely dull & almost gray in color the next morning. I have hyper-pigmentation on my cheeks, so this was a definite change. Also, I've noticed that my makeup doesn't apply the same the next morning after using it like this.
Then, I tried rubbing the bar quickly onto my T-zone (nose, forehead & chin) to see if that would help, thinking that I could just specifically rub the product on the areas where I see my pores the biggest and where I see the most blackheads. However, when I did that, I noticed more acne on my forehead and nose area the next morning.
I'm so glad that this product has worked for a lot of people, but it just didn't work for me. I'm glad I tried it, though, and I don't regret buying it because I've been curious about this product for a while.

I bought this product for my husband as a gift because he likes charcoal soap. He loves this one so now we will be purchasing on a regular basis.
