Earth Day 2021 - Recap, Sale & 7th Company Birthday

It is our 7th Birthday today! No Tox Life launched on Earth Day 2014 and we have been busy ever since manufacturing our products. We have grown from our very early origins in a home kitchen to having our own solar-powered manufacturing facility. Our company is proud to provide jobs that are well-paid, meaningful, and prove that sustainable living, local manufacturing and green industry can replace old industries and outsourcing to the benefit of all. 

Briefly looking back at last year, we had quite a few hiccups including having to figure out our own Canadian wholesale distribution strategy, having to close our retail storefront (our baby!), having extreme delays on raw materials and packaging which delayed our manufacturing, and having to deal with all of the extra steps with COVID protocols to keep our staff safe.

The good news is the small stores we have seen who have not shut down so far are likely able to stay in business for the long term. We have personally spoken with many of our small retailers and although times are tough, things are looking up with vaccinations becoming more available, and travel opening up bit by bit.

We are in around 1,000 retailers globally and most of those are small, independent and women-owned. Based on national statistics, women owned startups received just 2.3% of venture capital funding in 2020. The lack of access to funding is part of why it's so important to go out of your way if you can to support small women-owned enterprises. 

We are growing our presence in small independent grocery stores and mini grocery chains. We have some great new announcements coming soon and have just launched in Rainbow Grocery in SF where the DISH BLOCK® product stands out amidst the sea of plastic bottle dish soap:
