For the first use, soak the sponge in warm water for 10-15 minutes until it puffs up and rehydrates. It will expand about 50% and be soft and squishy like sponge cake.

Lather up on the face, either by rubbing the bar directly on the face with water, or using our Luna Charcoal Facial Sponge. Use morning and night as a facial cleanser. Avoid eyes. Follow with your favorite facial moisturizer or face serum. Place bar on a well-draining soap deck or soap lift between uses.

After cleansing, apply a hydrating face mist or toner. Then spread 2-3 drops on the face and allow it to soak in for one minute. Makeup or sunscreen can be applied on top. No additional face moisturizer is needed - this combination can replace a face creme or moisturizer although you can also layer one of those or mix it with the serum in your hand before applying. Serum can be used twice daily.

Recommended: Before applying serum, mist face with a hydrating face mist. The oil based serum locks in that moisture and has a soft finish

For the sponge: If you continue to squeeze and hang it to fully dry between uses, it could last for up to 6 months.

The face bar and facial serum's longevity depends on usage.

For the sponge: After each use, rinse out the sponge and gently press between palms to remove excess water. Hang up to dry between uses, with the included string hanger. Never wring out the sponge as this might damage or alter its shape. Replace after 3 to 6 months.

Sanitize the sponge or replace. If you see mold or bacteria growth, do not use the sponge. Some users have boiled it in water to sterilize it, or saturated it in water and microwaved for 20 seconds to sterilize. If it smells funny, becomes discolored, or looks off, throw it away and do not continue using. It is a natural product and can grow mold or bacteria if not properly handled.
