How long it lasts

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children. Keep out of eyes. If it gets in the eyes, gently flush with clean water. The DISH BLOCK® dish soap bar is very solid and not designed to be cut safely. dishes will get slippery when soapy and wet. Do not leave sitting in a pool of water, it needs to stay drained and dry between uses.

*Test in an inconspicuous spot for new materials you wish to use it on to ensure compatibility. Not recommended for delicate fabrics, with naturally dyed products or for use on porous stone surfaces such as granite, quartz or marble. We do not guarantee compatibility with all materials.

Storage and Care

Keep as dry as possible, a soap holder that allows drainage is preferable. Do not leave wet sponge or dish brush on the DISH BLOCK® as it can cause water to sit and slowly create a hole.

This soap is E V E R Y T H I N G. We’ve been using it for almost 5 years now and it’s the absolute best.

Not only does it do a great job just washing dishes, it is the ultimate tool against grease, oil, or other hard to clean mess. We’ve used it to revive greasy tools and pans from the grill, it’s gotten chainsaw grease off pants, removed motor oil from shirts, and saved every grease-splattered outfit from a messy dinner.

We always stock up when we even sort of start to run low. So glad we’ve got more in hand. It lasts so long and does so much.

Can’t recommend it enough!

Foams very well. Doesn't cut through grease like other soaps, but works!

Best ever!

i have always used a popular liquid and found out I was allergic to the chemicals and my fingers were split. I absolutely love this soap. I love the suds, how fast it cleans things and my granite composite sink has never been as shiny and new looking. So very glad I chanced on this!

This is just not good. Seemed to lather well but I only got through a few dishes and just could not get past the oniony garlic smell to the soap. Just no. I’m sorry, I feel bad but it smells gross. I threw the block away.

Hi Becky,

Wow we have never heard of our soap being 'oniony garlic'! This should not be the case. Please let us know where you purchased this and send us a copy of the receipt so we can get the store/ retailer to get in touch with you. We do not have a record of you purchasing the product on our end unless you used a different email address.

Please note if you did purchase on our site you can contact us to return the product within 60 days if you are not happy with it.

Meh

I tried to use this as a substitute for a sponge and Dawn dish soap. The scrub brush cannot fit in hard to reach places including drinking glasses. It holds onto food like a steel wool scrubber but is way less effective. I ended up using it as a pre-wash to my dishwasher. A couple weeks in, a hole formed in the middle of the soap like a candle melting unevenly. Food inevitably got stuck in it and it looked pretty gross towards the end. I threw it away as it was more trouble than it was worth. I would recommend just using the Dr. Bronner’s liquid castille soap with the cardboard refills and a reusable sponge (for less waste) or use Dawn and a sponge, both cheaper and more effective.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to help you with this -- it sounds like you already threw out the brush, which is unfortunate because otherwise we would have helped you with a return if done within 60 days, as per our policy. Were you using the CASA AGAVE® Pot Brush for all of your dishes?
We do recommend that when you use the DISH BLOCK® that you alternate where you are applying the brush, as otherwise it can develop a cavity. It is also important to make sure you don't let water pool in the soap or have the brush sitting in moisture -- both need to dry fully to stay in their best shape.
As you know, one of our most important principles is the lack of plastic in our packaging. Unfortunately, even the brand you mentioned with the cardboard container actually does have plastic mixed in with their cardboard, and their packaging is non-recyclable. Castille soap is great for hands but is not the best fit for washing dishes.
